Ceremony Planning

Every wedding is unique with a slightly different lead up and day planned.

Below you will find the broad process of how planning your ceremony will go.

Meet and discuss your big day

Contact me and then we can chat in person or over the phone, Skype, Whats App ... whatever you feel comfortable with. Should you feel we connect, we will then progress to making your dreams come true!

I will ask you to fill out an online questionnaire about location, dates, time, guests ideas etc., to get the ball rolling. You will be given the Happily Ever After leaflet, a legal government requirement.

File the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)

This must be completed at least one month prior to your wedding day.

Your notice is valid for 18 months should you need to postpone or change dates.

A $150 deposit is required to file the NOIM

Delve a little deeper into content

You will be sent an online questionnaire which you and your partner can fill out separately (many then compare notes after).

This includes how you met, when you fell in love, why you are getting married and some memorable moments, so that I can get to know you better and have some content for the wedding script. It is completely up to you how in-depth you go.

Writing the script

With all of the information supplied I will write the script for your big day which is soon approaching! You will likely be contacted for final information regarding bridesmaids, groomsmen, readings, music etc.

I will send the script to you (if you wish) for you to read and make any changes. A wedding is collaborative and I encourage your input.

Your Wedding Day

Your big day has arrived. I will meet both parties a bit earlier to have you sign the No Legal Impediment to Marry.

I will be there to greet guests on arrival, set up the PA, chat with venue support, musicians, photographers to ensure the event runs smoothly, and see how I can assist the other crew in reaching their goals. For example, what shots the photographer may need during the ceremony with me out of frame, or instructions to venue staff of what's happening next.

You will be married!

You will need to sign your Official Marriage Certificate and your take home Marriage Certificate with two witnesses over 18 (they can be family).

You go on and celebrate, I will file the paperwork and you will receive your notification via email and your BDM Marriage Certificate in the mail from Births, Deaths and Marriages should you require one.
